Very basic, but it works. Now I can ssh to my coffee machine to start it. Just for fun I switched to developing in vb.net/mono, and it works great. I had to use a 30 amp ttl controlled relay from sparkfun to handle the load from the 1500 watt moccamaster, directly from GPIO pins on the Pi.
My favourite coffeeplace is Maastricht perfect coffee. Their espresso is roasted locally and ground fresh before your eyes. At home, i enjoy a cup of coffee from my own espresso equipment .
I have a Bialetti stovetop at home and i think it make good coffee but not espresso, if you want a true Italian espresso, should choose a coffee machine with double boiler
